FAQ — Sassy Shoodles

Question 1

How do I apply for a puppy?

Accepted Answer

All puppy applications are handled through RightPaw — Australia's trusted platform for ethical breeders. Head to our RightPaw listing, complete your application, and we'll be in touch to discuss the best match for your family.

Question 2

What is a Shoodle?

Accepted Answer

A Shoodle is a cross between a Shih Tzu and a Toy Poodle. They are known for their intelligence, gentle temperament, luxurious non-shedding coats, and deeply loyal nature — making them wonderful companions for families, couples, and individuals alike.

Question 3

What is the difference between a Tiny Toy and a Toy Shoodle?

Accepted Answer

A Tiny Toy Shoodle typically weighs between 1.5–3kg at adulthood, making them one of the smallest companion breeds available. A Toy Shoodle is slightly larger, generally reaching 3–5kg. Both share the same wonderful temperament — the difference is simply size.

Question 4

Are Shoodles hypoallergenic?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Shoodles inherit the Poodle's non-shedding, hypoallergenic coat and the luxuriously soft, open coat of the Shih Tzu, giving the Shoodle a luxuriously soft, hypoallergenic coat that is easy to care for. This makes them the perfect and excellent choice for families with allergies or those who simply prefer a cleaner, more manageable home environment.

Question 5

What does each puppy come with?

Accepted Answer

Every Sassy Shoodles puppy comes fully prepared for their new home: vet checked, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, puppy pad trained, 6 weeks free pet insurance, a deluxe puppy pack filled with items specific to your puppy, a documentation file, 2kg Royal Canin food, a mum-scented blanket, a puppy passport, a carry crate, DNA cleared through Orivet, and lifetime breeder support.

Question 6

When will my puppy be ready to come home?

Accepted Answer

Our puppies go to their new families between 8 to 12 weeks of age, once they have completed their initial health checks, vaccinations, and early socialisation program. We will keep you updated with photos and milestones along the way.

Question 7

Do you ship puppies interstate or internationally?

Accepted Answer

We are based in Perth, Western Australia. We do consider interstate placements for the right families — please apply via RightPaw and we can discuss the details. We do not currently ship internationally.

Question 8

How do I join the waitlist?

Accepted Answer

Our Sassy Shoodles page on RightPaw allows you to submit a puppy application and also includes a dedicated waitlist section for families hoping to be considered for a future litter. This gives us all the information we need to match you with the right puppy when the time comes.
